If you do not own a Antivirus you might as well leave your front door open to anyone who walks buy at any time of the day. 10) If your concerned about protecting your data, get a Firewall. 11) If you do a lot of surfing and filling out forms on different websites, set up a free email account to get all the junk mail... Clean it out once a week. 12) Only use your main email for friends and family as well as Important business. 13) MANY REPUTABLE EMAIL CLIENTS ALSO ALLOW YOU TO FILTER JUNK MAIL FOR FREE. 14) If you put icons on your desktop, right click and goto properties. In this area, look for the "Shortcut Key" Type in your shortcut letter or key, then you can open your program by just doing Crtl+Alt+Letter/Key. 15) Create your set ups with a Partitioned hard drive. Load all your programs and what nots on Drive C, then save all your data to the partition. That way if you get a virus, you can rebuild the software without losing any data. 16) Rarely if ever have I seen a Virus jump the partition to an unshared drive. Therefore, do not share drive on a network unless you put a password in to protect from unauthorized access or stealing... 17) Surfing the net and want to get to the end of the or bottom of web page? Just hit the "end", and it takes you to the bottom, "home" Brings you back to the top! 18) Made an online order, and want to save the receipt page? Goto File and save as, then put the web page in a folder for future reference. 19) Want to improve performance of your internet surfing? This is a bad one and can get real costly. Basically your computers gets Hijacked to call a 1-900 type number through your internet sign on screen. People have had to pay phone bills of $80.00 to over $500.00 27) I do computer infestation cleaning be it spyware or virus or the new robots. 28) One more time, Do a data back-up daily of important files.
